Connect, understand, release: the ArgusKAI app shows you what your guard sees, and frees the line when you need it. For iPhone and Android, no account.
What the app does
Everything important on one screen
The app is deliberately simple. It shows what the guard sees, and asks before it switches anything.
Find and pair securely
The app finds your ArgusKAI by itself. The first time, you enter the code from the label; after that it connects on its own.
Live readings
Voltage, current, power and level of your battery, PV power and daily yield of the solar charger. For supported batteries also cell voltages and temperatures.
Alarm when something happens
If discharging was switched off, you see a red bar as soon as you open the app.
Release and pause
Free all devices or a single one for ten minutes, for your solar charger's app for example. Afterwards the guard takes over by itself.
Switching with confirmation
Charging and discharging on supported batteries straight from the app. Before switching off, the app asks twice.
Log
What happened when, with date and time: connections, alarms, releases, updates.
Wi-Fi and updates
Register ArgusKAI on your Wi-Fi once. When new firmware is available, the app lets you know; one tap is enough.
Five languages
German, English, French, Spanish, Italian. The app follows the system language and can be switched.
Check nearby devices
Check mode shows with a traffic light how open the Bluetooth devices around you are. It works even without an ArgusKAI.
First steps
Ready in four steps
From unboxing to the first guarded device in a few minutes.
- Install the app
On your iPhone or Android phone. Switch on Bluetooth on the phone.
- Power up ArgusKAI
Into a USB socket in the vehicle or a USB power adapter. ArgusKAI is ready within a few seconds.
- Connect
Open the app, it searches by itself. Tap your ArgusKAI and enter the code from the label. That is only needed the first time.
- Add devices
Tap “Add device”, pick the battery or charger from the list, give it a name. From now on ArgusKAI holds the line.
Privacy
The app does not phone home
No account, no registration, no advertising, no analysis of your behaviour.
The app's only internet access: it fetches a small version file from arguskai.com so it can show you a firmware update. No identifier, no location, no device data. Everything else runs over Bluetooth between your phone and your ArgusKAI.
Requirements
What you need
- Android from version 12 or iPhone from iOS 15
- Bluetooth switched on on the phone
- An ArgusKAI within range; a few metres are enough
- The six-digit code from the label, only when connecting for the first time
Questions about the app
When something gets stuck
Pairing is refused or the code does not match.
Open your phone's Bluetooth settings, remove the pairing “ArgusKAI-…” there and connect again in the app. The code is on the label and never changes, not even after a factory reset.
The app does not find any ArgusKAI.
Check that Bluetooth is switched on on the phone and that the app has permission to use it. Move closer to the device. A quick test whether ArgusKAI has power: for the first ten minutes after plugging it in, your phone shows the Wi-Fi network “ArgusKAI-…”.
Does the app have to stay open?
No. ArgusKAI guards by itself, around the clock. You only need the app to check on things or to change something.
Can I use the app on two phones?
Yes. ArgusKAI remembers up to three paired phones. Each one needs the code from the label once.
I have several ArgusKAI.
Then you choose in the app which one you want to be connected to. Camper, boat and workshop each get their own guard that way.
